Lamacraft Inc. was started in 1978 as an offshoot of a family retail kitchen remodeling business. Operating from a small facility in Morton, PA, it specialized in laminate countertops and marketed its tops to home centers, builders, cabinet distributors, kitchen dealers and contractors.

Starting with a shop staff of four employees, Lamacraft was truly a “Mom and Pop” operation with founder Bob Donze running the operation and wife Debbie tending to the phones and sending out the invoices.

Quickly, Corian counters were added to the offering, as the “solid surface” category grew in popularity.

In 1981, Lamacraft moved to a 15,000 square foot location in Yeadon, PA. By then, there were 15 shop employees and an office staff. For the next 11 years the Company enjoyed steady growth with the explosive emergence of the home center segment.

In 1992, the Company acquired CCI in Bristol, PA to allow service to a much wider geography. The name was changed to Lamacraft North and that branch soon moved to a 22,000 square foot facility in Tullytown, PA.

Very recently, with Lamacraft’s entry into the stone countertop market, as well as the company’s continuing overall growth, it opened locations three and four. By the end of 2005, a state of the art stone fabrication facility will be in full operation.

With over 90 employees, today’s Lamacraft provides a full selection of countertops to its many market segments as well as a Cabinet Division which offers laminate casework and the Yorktowne line of fine wood cabinets. The Company attributes its steady growth and leading place in the industry to a philosophy of quality workmanship at attractive pricing and an overriding commitment to professionalism and responsive customer service.
